The systems of social security in Germany andAustria are public welfare systems that include legal measures to ensure a basic standard of living and provide health services to all. The organization of health care, the compulsory insurance system as well as the administration of community hospitals, major public hospital centers, and rehabilitation institutions will be presented.

A Reception in the lobby of Kirby will follow the lecture.
