Oliver Kluck, a rising German playwright, was born in 1980 on the island of Rügen, just off the northeastern coast of Germany, and grew up in the city of Stralsund, located in the region of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern. Kluck studied nautical engineering at the college of Wismar and creative writing at the Literaturinstitut at the University of Leipzig. Since 2008, Kluck’s works (several of them commissioned pieces) have been performed at numerous prestigious theaters in Germany and Austria.
